Lucky Pull: effect, prices and patch history

A draw offers 4 choices with Lucky Pull, versus 3 without it. Before v1.0.4 those counts were 3 and 2. More choices do not prove higher rarity odds.

Published prices and location

No absolute current price is published in the cited patch. Vendor location is not asserted without a current source.

Planning decision — editorial interpretation

Match the named unit and rank threshold before treating this as an available bonus. Do not apply an effect to an unlisted unit or assume a price progression from a similarly named upgrade.

Evidence boundary

The recorded change comes from v1.0.4; verified through v1.0.4 on September 13. This is a patch-scoped record, not a complete upgrade tooltip. Before/after unit stats below, if present, are unit-level changes and not an isolated calculation of this upgrade's effect.

Fixes

  • Boss entrance animations no longer cause a detonation that fails to damage the boss.
  • Blocked Assassins reassess targets instead of pacing indefinitely; stealthed health bars are readable and a death animation glitch is fixed.
  • The Snake achievement is no longer awarded for defeating the Skeleton King. Level input accepts numpad keys; muted upgrades gain a distinct icon and darker border.

Gameplay

  • Drafts offer 3 choices, or 4 with Lucky Pull, up from 2 or 3.

Balance

  • Depth-tier cost scaling is ×3, reduced from ×4. This is not a universal price for every node.
  • Boss damage is multiplied by 3; damage, health and explosion radius rise across all four published rarities.
  • Critical chance, critical splash and splash radius increase. Splash percentages use normal attack damage before the critical multiplier and before upgrade bonuses.
  • Damage and health increase across Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary Dragons.
